I laugh at a lot of inappropriate shit. But these really weren’t that funny to me except for the last two.

Cold blooded, snarky, nasty shit. She’s an easy target. At least let her body get cold before you start the character assassination. Everybody is a fucking punchline even when they have no way of defending themselves..how convenient. The woman was just buried TODAY!

It’s too bad that fame, fortune, family, and friends were not enough for her. The people that loved her tired to save her, tried to get her to make lifestyle changes. She basically committed suicide, the most selfish thing you can do. All these people all over the world are so heartbroken over what she has done to herself. She was an adult. She should have made better choices in her life. Obviously drugs were more important to her than the people that loved her.

I really hate myself for thinking these are funny.

Ok, it may seem inappropriate… but I bet a lot of you lol’s too.

My favorite joke: “Congratulations to Amy Winehouse for 24 hours of sobriety.” the day afterwards.  And for all the people claiming it’s trashy or “too soon”, humor stems from tragedy and all of it has some degree of mockery. There is no “nice” humor. Likewise, there is never a “right time” to make a joke. “Oh, this person’s been dead a while, so now it’s okay for us to make wisecracks.” I’d honestly be *more* concerned for you if you had such a disembodied rationale when it comes to the death of an individual.  She is not your family or your friend. You do not need a period of mourning to grieve her loss. She is dead. The end. If you enjoyed her as an artist, then remember her music and her legacy for what it is, and stop bitching about the jokes. It isn’t any more “inappropriate” now to mock her addiction than it was last week when she was still alive. Deal with it.

For those saying her death isnt as important as those in Norway are hypocrties. Death is personal, while you may feel more for those in Norway there are still people who may feel more for her. Don’t be ignorant and say her death isnt important. Regardless of fame. Dead is dead, and Death is Death. And its a shame, so yes, RIP Amy Winehouse.
