“I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was.”
“I’ll bet you money, if he didn’t have that hoodie on, that nutty neighborhood watchguy would have never responded in that violent and aggressive way.”
“I am urging the parents of black and Latino youngsters particularly to not let their children go out wearing hoodies.”

Benjamin Sapiens a year agoSo, he’s sort of acknowledging that people of color are targets of police harassment, but then he’s arguing that it’s their responsibility to avoid looking suspicious rather than the cops’ responsibility to stop being racist? Rational thinking and conservatism don’t mix well.

He shouldn’t have been wearing a hoodie unless it was raining? Um according to the articles I’ve read it had begun to rain when he was walking home, thus his hood went up. WTF.
