bartg2 2 months agoI’m very confused by all this talk of intolerance against the Catholic Church. The former Pope and the hierarchy of the Church have shown intolerance for gay rights for decades, violating both civil law and canon law in the United States to do so. This very silly post about the Pope (not the Church, not the Catholic religion, not those who follow the religion) is very mild compared to what could be said about this man. I’m very surprised there were no pictures of his joined-at-the-hip private (and very hunky) secretary.

gianlucahoxm 2 months agoItalians, despite having the pope at home and 24/7 in every tv, magazine, newspaper, don’t find anything wrong, our comedians say much worst things every day about him.
But in USA, where a lot of people don’t even know in what part of italy is the Vatican (or where is italy), they got butthurt. Interesting. -

mariliat 2 months agoOh, you poor things. Do you think being gay is offensive? Do you think it is as offensive as, saying, covering up pedophilia? What about telling people in Africa that use of condoms spreads HIV? What about giving divisive speeches on World Peace Day? What about proclaiming publicly that Islam lacks reason?
If you as a Catholic and as a human being don’t find any of these things as offensive as two men loving each other openly, then GOOD RIDDANCE to Catholicism; it deserves to be dubbed a hate group. Try using logic and reason for once. Or if you can’t do that, stop excusing crimes against humanity committed by your “men of God”.

peterl19 2 months agoAnyone complaining about this being offensive toward the Pope or the Catholic Church can go and get fucked. You taking offense is offending me. Let me get this straight. So the Church gets to spend centuries keeping the lower class from power; centuries of torturing people for arbitrary offences; establish the Inquisition; and, contemporarily, indirectly kill millions of people through discouraging condom use; threaten groups such as homosexuals and atheists with eternal torment; and systematically cover up priests who molest children… BUT YOU’RE OFFENDED BY A BIT OF HARMLESS FUCKING SATIRE!?! If this if you then you need to seriously reconsider your ethical priories.
