First of all, I would never want a leader that cannot listen to someone who’s opinion differs from his own. Second of all “time out’? Really? It kind of doesn’t work like that.
Second of all I would think that he would like to use the APA since it took them so long to take homosexuality off of their list of mental disorders.
Third, there are plenty of studies that prove a child is no worse off in a home with two daddies or mommies than they are with a traditional parental unit. As long as kids have stability, they usually grow up okay. And yes there are problems like molestation, neglect and incest, but that isn’t limited to homosexual families.  Kudos to this woman for standing up for what she believes and debating like a champ. Maybe next time Santorum will just speak instead of interacting with the group so he doesn’t get himself into trouble like this again.

I hate his reasoning. When there is an association, it doesn’t matter if they agree with you, but when they produce non-skewed studies, they can be used! If an association produces great information, it can be significant whether or not you agree with them.

So, how does saying that a certain group of people can’t get special tax treatments like the rest of us even though they are probably more in love than me and my wife are, not giving them protection from hate groups, and not respecting their rights and making sure that they won’t get fired for merely being who they were born to be make me a bigot? You cannot argue against someone’s beliefs in a rational/reasonable argument. If it’s something that you disagree on via belief structure, don’t treat it as the other person is wrong, you both have feelings that are opposing. Accept and move on and focus on things that are actually logical and rational problems, how’s that economy coming along?
