I’ve never really been a huge cat person, more of a dog person…but these pics made me lol so I may have to check out a cat show sometime. Looks interesting!

Oh, cat people… Not nearly as bad as horse people, I can assure you.

I’ve been to countless dog shows, and I’ve become accustomed to the bizarre behaviors exhibited by the owners, handlers, and observers during conformation shows. Cat shows, however? WTF? These people are crazy.

I went to one of these a few years back! I think they hold them every year in Raleigh, NC. I paid $8 for a ticket, and it was worth every penny, but I wish I’d taken pictures.

The last cat show I went to, a ginormous gay black man was judging, and with a huge smile he smooched every cat on the forehead before he explained in the most affectionate tone what he liked about it. When the really lively ones played enthusiastically with the toy he waved in front of them, he actually giggled into his microphone. If that doesn’t give you even the slightest case of the woobies, you’re dead inside.
