62 Pop Songs You Need In Your Life This Fall

Welcome these songs into your life. Or don't and be miserable.

    1. If you haven't heard of Ryn Weaver then I'm actually jealous because you have some really great music to listen to. Start off with "coffee and a half...a...pack" (best line ever) in "Stay Low".

    2. Ryn's "Sail On" is pretty great as well.

    3. Also "Promises." Basically listen to her whole EP. "Octahate" is one of the best songs of 2014, imo. Also she has hairy pits, which is pretty badass.

    4. While it's incredibly upsetting Danity Kane is splitting up because THEY COULDN'T GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER, at least they're still releasing an EP. "Rhythm of Love" is the best song off that so far. Listen now.

    5. "Tell Me" is another good song with more of the ~classic~ Danity Kane sound.

    6. "Just Like Me" is one of the best songs off the new Betty Who album.

    7. So is "Runaways." Best part: the delayed pause before the chorus.

    8. And if "All of You" isn't on your gym playlist then I don't even know how you are living.

    9. If you like "Cool Kids" by Echosmith, then you should check out their song "Bright."

    10. Also "Tell Her You Love Her."

    11. "Cola Song" by INNA is the Eurotrashiest song you've ever needed in your life.

    12. Her other song "Take You Higher" is equally catchy/trashy.

    13. Martin Luke Brown's "Nostalgia" is ~totally chill~ — especially the "OoOoOoO" hook. Because let's be real: Who doesn't love an "OoOoOoO" hook?!

    14. "She's Not Me" by Jenny Lewis is the Tom Petty song you've been waiting for.

    15. "Speeding" by Lights is the best song on her new album Little Machines.

    16. "Muscle Memory" is the second best.

    17. "Running With Boys" is the third best.

    18. Now for Tinashe. "All Hands on Deck" is a future smash. It's basically an improved "2 On." The key change into the chorus gets me every time. Dead and gone.

    19. "Feels Like Vegas" is a must on your ~chill~ playlist.

    20. And "Pretend."

    21. And "Wild Fire."

    22. And "Bet."

    23. And "How Many Times" even though Future does that whole weird seizure singing thing. Basically all of Tinashe's album Aquarius should be incorporated into your life.

    24. "So I got itches that scratch" is one of my favorite opening lines and so is "Beggin For A Thread" by Banks.

    25. If you're sick of Sia's "Chandelier," then listen to the Plastic Plates Remix.

    26. "Lost on the Way Home" by Chromeo featuring Solange is one of the best songs on their album White Women.

    27. "Gunshot" is the underrated follow-up to "No Rest for the Wicked" by Lykke Li.

    28. "London Queen" is further proof that the world is ready for a new Charli XCX album.

    29. "The Pressure" by Jhene Aiko makes me want to drink a bottle of wine to my face in a smoky room full of candles.

    30. "Lyin King" is another good song off Jhene Aiko's album Souled Out. It's also a ~clever~ play on words.

    31. "Nova" by Lovelife is to damn catchy for its own good.

    32. So is "Blame" by Calvin Harris.

    33. And "Jealous" by Nick Jonas. He's also really fucking hot, which always helps.

    34. "Human Contact" by Catey Shaw almost makes you forget about "Brooklyn Girls."

    34. I have no idea what alt-J are saying in half of "Left Hand Free" but it's really fucking good.

    35. "My Gun" is a flawless song from Tove Lo's excellent Queen of the Clouds album. The best use of gunshots in a pop song since "Paper Planes."

    36. You also have to listen to "Like Em Young" even though it's slightly awkward.

    37. "Moments" is great especially for the "on good days I am charming as fuck" line.

    38. "Inferno" by Sir Sly and Lizzy Plapinger (of MS MR <3) is easily one of my favorite songs this fall. It's been on repeat for days.

    39. ~Stay with me tonight~ in "One More" by Elliphant and MØ. It's really time for Elliphant and MØ to happen, separately or together.

    40. "Not Going Home" by Great Good Fine OK came out this spring, but it hasn't received the attention it deserves.

    41. Kieza's "Giant in My Heart" is basically like "Hideaway" version two, which isn't a bad thing.

    42. It's no "Bang Bang" but Jessie J's "Burnin' Up" is worthy of being on your fall playlists.

    43. Cheryl Cole's "I Don't Care" is perfectly acceptable pop jam, especially because all of the gratuitous "fucks." Also, I refuse to call her just "Cheryl."

    44. "Dear Future Husband" is the best song on Meghan Trainor's EP.

    45. VÉRITÉ is one of my absolute favorite new artists. Listen to "Strange Enough."

    46. And "Weekend."

    47. Röyksopp and Robyn's "Monument (The Inevitable End Remix)" is a much-needed shortened version of the original.

    48. Clean Bandit's "Real Love" is a nice follow-up to "Rather Be."

    49. The Kygo remix of Kyla La Grange's "Cut Your Teeth" is like a six-minute-long chill-ass sunset beach-side ride (I imagine).

    50. "Say My Name" by Odesza is a good song to put on and ~vibe out~ to.

    51. "Thinking Out Loud" is a really cute Ed Sheeran song.

    52. Shower queen and Latina Katy Perry, Becky G, is back with "Can't Stop Dancing."

    53. "Traum" by German rapper CRO is on point even though I have absolutely no idea what he's saying because it's in German.

    54. "Baby Don't Lie" by Gwen Stefani is a perfectly acceptable comeback.

    55. "Outside" by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding gets me even more excited for his new album, especially his song with Tinashe.

    56. Alesso is finally trying to go mainstream with his Tove Lo–assisted song "Heroes."

    57. British singer Labrinth's "Let It Be" is worthy of being a hit in the States. There are trumpets.

    58. Another Brit you need in your life is Paloma Faith. Listen to "Changing," her song with Sigma.

    59. One more. British AlunaGeorge has a nice catchy song called "Supernatural." The "bloopy" beat does it for me.

    60. Robyn randomly has a new song called "Tell You (Today)" that has flown under the radar. It's cute.

    61. "Call My Name" by Haerts is the best thing they've done since their flawless song "Wings."

    61. Seinabo Sey's "Pistols at Down" is excellent simply because of her voice.

    62. And lastly, "L.A.Love (La La)" by Fergie. Give it a second chance and learn some new geography today!

Here's a Spotify playlist of everything that's on Spotify.
