Here’s how (some) Penn State students reacted to the firing of Coach Joe Paterno. If you didn’t already know, Paterno was fired because he found out his assistant coach was molesting children back in 2002 and didn’t do anything about it. All of this is so sickening.

      I’m still waiting on a post of pictures from the candle light vigil held to support the victims of the Sandusky situation last night. Nearly 10,000 people were in attendance and we had NO outbreaks of rioting. It was peaceful and respectful. PSU is getting such a bad rep, when not all of us are immature or crazy enough to go out and riot over JoePa’s firing.

      Only 8% of Germans during WWII were true Nazis. The rest of the population just stayed in their homes and either studied or wore gas masks to mask the smell of the ovens or burning news trucks. Why were no students trying to stop the riots? Why shouldn’t the rioting students be expelled? What does it feel like to do nothing when children are raped and news trucks are overturned? The rioting Penn State students should be moved out of their school dorms and to the state pen.  They’ve got what it takes to grow up to be deviant, violent personalities just like Sandusky, no better, no worse.  Have a nice day, future looters, mobsters and rapists. rachel

      I will never hire a single one of these people for a job, I will do an in-depth internet search of any penn state grad now, and always choose an equally qualified kid from another school. These pedo-lovers are worthless water trash. Don;t bother telling me not everyone is like this, or these were just kids caught up in a mob mentality or they didn’t know what they were protesting. Don’t act like this or take this stance without knowing the facts. Paterno admitted -under oath- to a grand jury that he knew and that he did the bare legal minimum to protect his own ass, and did not have the moral fortitude to put a stop to this horror. His legacy is dead forever. He is a Horrible excuse for a human.

      It looks to me like the administration tried REALLY hard to cover this up. Regardless, Paterno should have gone to the actual authorities with what he knew. I want to know why the WITNESS did not go to the police? Why did the actual person who SAW it not scream at the sick bastard and beat the shit out of him? Why did NONE of these people do anything? They ALL could have stopped this! Not doing anything is bad enough but I think the firing occurred because there is more to this than the public even knows yet.       My favorite is all the whiny Joe Paterno-lovers who say “But he DID do something”. That’s like me witnessing a rape going home and emailing the police. And I know he didn’t “witness” it, but the fact that these viciously depraved and indifferent fucks did nothing makes me sick. This isn’t a matter of going through the proper channels! If a kid’s getting fucked, you drop what you are doing and stop it. Anything less than that and you are officially a shitty person. There’s a lot of things in this world that aren’t black or white, but that is definitely not one of them! But I’m not sure if it’s black or white, whatever the bad one is (I don’t want to insult anybody).

      bullshit! and liar. well, we know you are just trying to build traffic, so you can sell advertising, run away from home and join Occupy Nothing.  But, you did flat out lie: Joe did something and its well documented. He contacted the two people he was supposed to at the university. BTW, don’t forget, that there was another complaint in the 1990’s the police investigated Sandusky and came up with nothing…
      But, the main point is, if you ever meet anyone who as known Joe, they will, one and all, agree, that he may have made a mistake, he is one of the finest people alive. When I went there, I knew a number of athletes (in and out of football) there. Everyone who knows him tends to think of him as their second father, the one who did everything he could, to help kids grow up to be come good human beings. - so, get a life.

      If there’s anything I’ve learned from the 14 years I’ve been attached to an academic, it’s that at every sufficiently large university, there’s a certain percentage of mouth-breathing assholes who will riot at the slightest provocation. Not that I’m excusing the behavior, but for some of them, I daresay it’s not so much that they think child rape is okay as it is that they’ll take any damn opportunity to light some moldy porch couches on fire.
