i heard about what’s up with #28. people had to sit so long for camera exposures back in the day that in order to get a picture of a baby, or a kid, the mother had to hold them to keep them still and calm. they’d drape the mother in a cloth or hide her otherwise, so you’d only have the baby in the picture.
