I’ll betcha dollars to donuts she had no idea they were expensive.
Hmm. No idea if she actually bought them herself..I imagine people just GIVE their stuff to the First Ladies..so it’s possible she just didn’t know how much they were. At the same time it’s already obvious she’s well off, so to show up in house slippers would be even more insulting.
And Jill Biden wore Tory Burch, who ain’t cheap either. Newsflash, people! WE LIKE SHOES. Women. Like. Shoes. Sweeping generalization? Maybe. If I could afford $540 shoes, I would buy them too. Not those, perhaps. But I would buy a pair I liked. Granted, she could probably be setting a better example in this economy, but the rest of her outfit is fairly priced. Let the lady enjoy some fashion, she’s working for it.
Don’t people see how ridiculous this is? $500+ for a pair of uncomfortable canvas Converse wanna-be shoes? If anything it shows a lack of judgment and grasp of reality. I don’t care who you are. Silly labels and items like this have the opposite intended effect for me.
so what? nobody cares that those sneakers are uber cool for a first lady to wear? and at least she was at the damn food bank!
