Ya know … if I was black I would tell McDonald's to go to hell for this. (I don't eat that toxic shit anyway.) It's not enough we have BLACK entertainment television, BLACK history month, BLACK awards shows, and whatever else can be labeled race specific and gotten away with. But if there was a WHITE awards show or a WHITE McDonald's 365 website … ooohh shit. There would be a 10 million man march saying it's still the same, nothing's changed and every major McDonald's would be burned to the ground. Whatever, it's just amusing, sick, but amusing … and oh yea, RACIST.

If they're going to exploit black people, they should have gone with the classic route and called it BlackDonald's.

Not exactly a revelation - this has been around for several years, and is featured in the taglines and fine print of their television and print advertisements, especially in the ads shown in late January through February for Black History Month (the 365 coming from the idea that African American culture should be celebrated all 365 days of the year). I don't know about other markets, but here in D.C., it's the sort of thing we see on television and bus stop adverts year-round. They also have specialty sites for other ethnic groups, including myinspirasian.com for Asians and meencanta.com for Latinos. It is divide and market specifically, a practice that is now commonplace, and one which McDonald's adopted earlier than most when they hired Burrell Communications Group in 1972 to market directly to the African American community.

Now I'm hungry for some McDonalds…
