A black lab named “Pep” was sentenced to life without parole by Pennsylvania Governor Gifford Pinchot for reportedly killing his wife’s favorite cat.
While that sounds horrible, legend has it the dog was actually put in the prison to act a morale booster for the prisoners. Basically, Pep didn’t kill any cats. He was treasured by the inmates for over a decade.
Everyone knows black labs wouldn’t do that anyway!
