As much as I disagree with these people, I doubt calling them names and disparaging on their intelligence is going to make them see our way. Instead of name calling (You know, like “Idiots”) let's just shake our heads and sigh, because getting down to that level doesn't do anything but cause hard feelings and make them sink their heels in deeper.

I'm personally fine with gay marriage. I don't care one way or another. I say leave it up to the states to decide. Having said that, I also don't demonize the people who take a more traditional view of marriage. They still represent the majority in this country. It's clear that attitudes are slowly shifting in the direction of gay marriage. States should vote on it and let the chips fall where they may. If some states vote down gay “marriage” but grant gay couples the same rights as an official marriage, that should be sufficient. Then it just becomes a matter of semantics. If all the same rights are granted but it's given another name other than marriage —- who cares? One thing I don't buy into is the narrative that gay marriage is the “civil rights issue of our time.” Being given the privilege to marry is in no way, shape, or form comparable to the black civil rights movement. Frankly, it's an offensive comparison.

This makes me want an “F' You” button.

Also, people born with ambiguous genitalia, they just can't marry anybody.

Also, my friend had an emergency hysterectomy as a teen (traumatic in itself!). Guess she can't get married cuz she can't have babbys!!!

You know, I think Gandhi said it best: “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”  If people actually followed Jesus' teachings in the New Testament, we wouldn't have this hateful image. He loved and accepted everyone, even prostitutes, as we all know. If the old laws of the Old Testament (where it says men shall not lay with men) are so important to follow, why aren't we still doing ritual sacrifices and keeping a kosher diet?

You'd think an innumerable host of angels that we can't see would have more interesting things to do than watch and wait for gay people to get married so they can feel offended. They need to start an intramural sports league up there.

I still don't get why some people hate on the gay folks…. it's straight people that are making the gay babies to begin with. I mean COME ON.

The crowd looks like it's filled with retirees and young kids. Clearly people with day jobs (who aren't politicians) are not too worried about gay marriage.

As a Christian, this is one of the most disgusting kind of thing for me to observe for two reasons: 1. These people are hateful and ignorant and just don't understand that love wins, always, not dogma or mindless obedience or anything that causes hate to grow. 2. These people's ignorance makes others, like many on this stream, feel that THEY are justified in adopting prejudices. How are you people who talk about how all Christians are idiots based on this disgusting minority any better than they are? You are spreading hate and ignorance in the exact same way.
