To me, its less about the dress specifically and more about who is in it. I don't think her, or anyone similar to her, belongs on a children's show…on THE iconic children's show. She is famous for being provocative and sexually shocking. Are there people out there that actually think she's a positive role model for children?!? i'm a little disappointed by all the people who doubt the inappropriate nature of Katy Perry's clothing on a children's show. don't get me wrong, I am an adult man and I love boobies too. I don't like puritan censorship either but that's not the issue here. she is appearing on a children's show and she is a role model to boys and girls for what an adult woman looks and acts like. trust me, kids do notice these things. when i was five years old, I definitely noticed the way adult women dressed. Katy Perry uses her body and sexuality to sell her music and get famous. she is very successful at what she does. but i would never want my daughter or son to emulate her. I think our current pop culture is basically teaching girls to grow up to be whores, and teaching boys to treat women like whores. kids should not be exposed to sexually suggestive things until they are old enough to fully understand how to deal with it. it does a great disservice to them to do otherwise. unfortunately, with our current culture, most people, kids and adults, can't avoid being exposed to such things.
