Aww man. I don't know any cats that would do this. Not hating, just saying.>> Because they're NOT DOGS. Cats don't “cry” like that. My cats are VERY happy when I return from anything, and they follow me and purr and make it very clear that they're happy I'm home. Dogs and cats are two completely different animals. Not sure why people insist on comparing them. The above comment is as stupid as saying “Why doesn't my dog purr when I come home? It must not like me”.

Most dogs will also get so excited they'll flip on their bellies and start pissing.

I was away from home and didn't see my cat in three years… she was really aloof when I left, and she was dying (old age) when I returned. But when I came in she had a burst of energy and managed to climb onto the couch to come close to me when I came in, and offered her belly to rub and didn't let me out of her sight for a minute til I left… she died very shortly after. My family said she waited for me. So don't think dogs are the only ones! Animals love on a very profound level.
