Beyond nicotine and alcohol, I’m not a drug user. But I have to say, I can’t really see a downside to legalizing marijuana. I know this isn’t a “marijuana” story, so let me explain the relationship. Human ingenuity will ALWAYS find a new recreational drug. And it will always be some crap that people have to peddle underground with absolutely no safety standards. And once bath salts are made illegal, which is bound to happen, there will be one more drug on the underground market that people steal for, shoot for, kill for, make tons of money from, and the quality of which is completely uncontrollable. People will ALWAYS look for a new way to get high. How many dollars could be removed from criminal hands, and how many lives could be saved (not to mention how much our economy could benefit) from legalized and regulated marijuana? How many prison sentences would be avoided, and how much would the prison population be reduced? I’m not saying marijuana is healthy (it may be, but there are noted health risks to using marijuana besides the purported benefits). But guns, alcohol, motorcycles, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, hell, even caffeine and even normal prescription drugs have noted negative side effects. All of the above can be abused, and are regularly abused. Marijuana can also be abused. But the others are legal, sold through a regulated marketplace, and marijuana can be too.

I’m as liberal as they come but with salvia and this salts maybe its a filtering process of society, but its very sad for that dad.

I thought this was a joke. What happened to just buying a little weed from the one guy in town?

Sweet! He still got to do the Chris Hansen ambush! Of course it lacked the “please, have a seat” style panache. Only reason I watched this is because I just bought real bath salts for my bath tub and I thought people were dying from that :P . I was like “hmmm it did say only bathe in it for 20 minutes….did I get high by lying in my tub longer, or was tat just my blood pressure dropping?” :P .
