Cat Island Survives The Tsunami
Tashiro Island aka Cat Island is situated almost directly west of the epicenter of the quake and was rumored to be completely submerged by the tsunami. Luckily, we've just heard word that many of the island's elderly residents and cats are safe. Phew.
