Haha. When I was a growing up, they used this to explain the damages of premarital sex on your soul and reputation.

Instead, cut it with scissors and feed it to a shredder. End of story.

BAD idea because… Later, the bullies realize that if they pick on someone it will emotionally scar them PERMANENTLY—and naturally decide to pick on even more kids. Showing the kids how much power they have (Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.) doesn't always bring the results you would expect of logical people. They're kids. They're NOT logical people.

yeah…i'll try this at my place of employment the next time a kid bullies another kid and the result will be laughter.

perfect example

My granpa always told a story of a man and his son, a bully, the father told him that for everytime he bullied or hurt someone to hammer in a nail to a piece of wood. After a while the piece of wood was filled with nails, so the father asked his son to go to each person he hurt and sincerely ask for forgiveness, and for every person that forgives him, he may take a nail out of the piece of wood. He did just this, and the piece of wood had no nails left in it. His father walks over to him and says “but you see those holes? those stay there forever”…..something like that, obviously more elaborate and interesting for a kid.

I remember my 5th grade guidance counselor showing this metaphor!

so cool, and yet that damn apostrophe in “bully's” [sic] at the end makes me want to crumple the paper back up and throw it at someone.

Can we clone this teacher and place him/her in ever learning institution across the country please?
