Top 5% of earners paid 58.72% of all American taxes
Top 10% of earners paid 69.94% of all American taxes
Top 25% of earners paid 86.34% of all American taxes
Top 50% of earners paid 97.30% of all American taxes
Bottom 50% of earners paid 2.7% of all American taxes If Bill Maher doesn’t know this, he has no right to complain.

I am not going to contest the point that republicans fail to see that their elected officials are screwing them in the ass. I just feel that the Casey Anthony verdict was not an appropriate metaphor. She got off on the major charges not due to the jury’s incompetence, but the prosecution’s and the media’s. By pushing for murder 1 and execution, they gave into bloodlust and forgot that, in order for her to be sentenced, it has to be proven BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT.
And, seeing as the jury has a woman’s life in their hands, they would not have found her guilty unless they were ABSOLUTELY sure. If, instead of First Degree murder, and pushing for capital punishment, they had instead pushed for life imprisonment, or second degree (30 to life), they would have had a much better chance at seeing true justice delivered.

If people like Bill Maher or Ann Coulter are who you use as examples of one side or the other then you are intellectually challenged.  Bill Maher’s political acumen is akin to the math ability of The Count. Yeah he knows his numbers but I don’t want him doing my taxes.

I guess Bill Maher is a Republican since he is worth $23 Million dollars. One has to wonder if Mr. Maher uses the current tax code to pay less by utilizing “charity” deductions and tax loopholes, or does he go straight no deduction and in fact pay more becasue he could afford it? All you people that believe this schmuck is, a) nailing it, and, b) actually cares about the American people, are dumb.

The GOP runs on the ignorance and fear of the American sheeple. This is why they want to keep you fat, regressive, paranoid, and most important of all INACTIVE.

All I gotta say is, when was the last time you saw a government worker and think, man, that person deserves more money? Charities and foundations are the places that money should go - they’re full of people that WANT to help and get things done.

Couldn’t they have found a shittier quality video? This one doesn’t seem shitty enough. I almost understood it’s point.
