83-Year-Old Suing Apple After Walking Into A Glass Wall
She wants $1,000,000 for her broken nose. This is why we can’t have nice things.
According to CBS New York:
Paswall claims that she didn’t realize that she was walking into a wall of glass as she approached the store, and says that she broke her nose as a result of the collision.
Her suit claims that “the defendant was negligent … in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning.”
Apple put white stickers on their glass windows to prevent this kind of thing from happening.
Her attorney also said:
“Apple wants to be cool and modern and have the type of architecture that would appeal to the tech crowd, but on the other hand, they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people.”

PlushKitten a year agoI feel sorry for the woman that broke her nose. This could have happened to anyone and it often does. Even with my childcare we are required to put stickers on the glass sliders for better visibility. I don’t see why it shouldn’t be the same in public. With flush glass walls, it was only a matter of time before someone was seriously injured. And for all these pea-brained buzzfeeders, would you say the same thing if this was your grandmother?

melissaleahp a year agoAnyone could walk into a glass window or door. I know I’ve done it and I’m only in my 20s. It’s not because she’s “old and stupid,” it’s because it’s not always easy to distinguish clean glass doors & walls and air. So I don’t fully blame her. A million bucks a def too much though. Just sue for the cost of medical bills for te broken nose. But whatever. Tere are my views.

Stupid is as stupid does, is this going to be a case of “the coffee shouldn’t have been that hot”? I think apple should just pay for a new set of glasses, or a seeing eye midget.
