7-Year-Old Without Hands Wins Penmanship Award

Here’s some happy news. First-grader Annie Clark won a national award for her penmanship. Annie won $1,000 and had an assembly in her honor at her school in Pennsylvania.

Annie’s father says:

“Annie has always been very, very determined, very self-sufficient in dressing herself and feeding herself,” Mr. Clark said. “She can ride a bike. She swims. She is just determined that there’s nothing she can’t do.”
