theOnlyAether a year agoI do wonder how the question is phrased. I would suspect that when asked, “Would you like to answer some questions about God/religion/creationism?” most atheists just hang up the phone. Also I never trust “random” samples from pollsters - they almost always have some kind of combination of several biases to skew the results; when published the intent is to try and make people believe something based on a argumentum ad populum fallacy.

Asking everyday Americans questions like these is irrelevant when you account for the fact that they know next to nothing about scientific evolution. If you polled the scientific community you’d see a much different result. It’s like if a poll came out asking what was the best way to prevent an illness you wouldn’t pay attention to it if everyday Americans were asked, but if the medical community were asked you would consider it to be as true as possible.

ELROD a year agoI’m not an atheist, I just don’t believe in religion. I have faith that god had a hand in the creation AND evolution of our existence. It doesn’t make me dumb, close-minded or ignorant, it just means that I am a person of both faith AND reason. It happens folks. Stop judging others based on their personal beliefs.
