The Emerald Isle of the Caribbean/Montserrat has suffered tremendously from this monster on Soufriere Hills but I’m confident probably not in my lifetime but in my grand kids or great grand kids time that they would be able to enjoy the serenity, tranquility and gorgeous scenery of the place I know and love my birthplace.

Reality check——it’s good to have a look inside.

I miss home, Me and the boys were playing ball in salem primary school just after sunset, the night when the first vent came to life. This many years later I still remember the sound like yesterday.

Montserrat is still paradise. Definition of paradise …. Is a place in which existence is positive, harmonious and timeless ♥

I can’t believe anyone would ‘lol’ at this kind of devastation…I hope that was a mistake. Imagine losing everything you own, including the place you call home. Look up “empathy” in the dictionary.

Is there any real danger in going back? It’s not like it’s radioactive or anything…

My wife is from the neighboring island of St. Kitts & Nevis. She said the sight of smoke and ash they could see from their island was horrifying and to this day ash from the volcano in Montserrat still falls in St. Kitts from time to time.

I bet the people who own the houses in #37 are like, “But just LOOK at it - it’s fine! Pleeease let us go back to our house!” And the lady in the pseudo-military shirt behind the counter sighs and heaves her slump over to the other side, chewing her gum, never breaking eye contact. And the frustrated couple retreats from the government office, denied once again.

They could film such an awesome disaster/post apocalyptic movie there….it would look as real as you could get.
