OK, as much as I'm gonna be bashed for saying this, I don't care.
I'm addicted to this crap they're posting all over the internet, and 60% of these videos, in some way, relate to my life.
If there are any Christians or Catholics on here, I'd seriously like some prayer. 'Cuz there's no way I'm breaking down this wall alone.

Anti-pornography ads always have to distort the information they portray in order to make it seem like it supports their position. Case in point: Video #1, in which we learn that the “American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers” states that “50% of all divorces can be linked to Internet pornography.” Right off, thats not completely true. The organization doesn't say “Internet pornography”, it says “cybersex, inappropriate online relationships, and pornography” contribute to divorces. The first two are just Internet versions of adulterous affairs, not “Internet pornography.” Furthermore, J Lindsey Short, Jr., president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, states that the prurient portions of the Internet cannot be blamed for divorces: “While I don't think you can say that the Internet is causing more divorces, it does make it easier to engage in the sorts of behaviours that traditionally lead to divorce.”

The porn problem is a parenting issue.
It's a question of what is age appropriate.
When you have a child, YOU should prevent him from accessing porn.
But to simply say, it should not exist. Is lazy parenting. There are lots and lots of things your children should not have access to, at certain ages, but if you have a 10 year old do you go and ask all movies with rating PG-13 and higher be eliminated from the face of the earth? No!  That's why these ads are ridiculous, they seem to imply that the very existence of porn will collapse society.

Porn = online sexual predators? WTF? Last I checked, Hot Hunky Athletes Sucking Each Other Off didn't follow me home or try to get me to meet it at a hotel somewhere. What a stupid fucking concept.

I completely agree with you Matt, people have no idea the deadly poison that is porn. People today have no moral compass so porn to them would seem normal - what a waste of a life.

I would've been more dismissive of these ads before having kids, but now I'm a bit more protective and attentive. I'm no angel, but the message of (most) of these ads (save the 1950's vid) is not “ridiculous.”

This is ridiculous, but i'll tell you something that isn't: Porn is bad for consumers (Pornified, by Pamela Paul) and performers alike (How To Make Love Like A Porn Star, A Cautionary Tale, by Jenna Jameson with Neil Strauss). People like Larry Flynt hide behind the first amendment pretending they are civic heroes, when in reality, the grip capitalism has on pornography speaks for itself. People like him, who drive the industry, are no patriots, they just want your goddam money. Furthermore, porn has been steadily branching out, influencing other media. Pornography should not be censored, but it should definitely be legislated. End of rant.

The kid on #6 is just someone trying to adjust to a different mouse without a scroll wheel. That's not terrible is it? On a more general note: Hasn't anyone ever heard of parental controls?
