I’ll be 50 in two years and I find it kind of sad that people responding to this are making comments as if 29 is old. It is not old, you’re still really young. 29 is just a number, it only means what you want it to mean. Aging is part of life, but, as trite as it may sound, you really are only as old as you think you are. Just a few things I’ve picked up along the way: At 20 you have the body nature gave you. At 30 you have the body you’ve earned, and this will be true for the rest of your life. So plan on doing something that makes your heart rate go up and makes you sweat everyday: yoga, kickboxing, lifting, walking…something. It pays off in ways you won’t even imagine. At 20, you have the face nature gave you. At 40, you have the face you’ve earned. Every bit of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes you’ve ever consumed will march across your face on your 40th birthday. Plan for that now. Stop drinking carbonated anything, drink a lot of water and green tea, instead. Eat kale. Seriously, you won’t believe what it can do for you. And let go of this “29 is old” mindset - it just brings you down. You are not old at 29. You’re not even close. To me at 48, you look like babies!
