The Isis Project - Empowering Girls Through The Celebration Of Extraordinary Women

Inspired by Austin-based photographer Jaime Moore’s “Not Just A Girl” collection of five photos of her pre-school aged daughter dressed as real-life female heroines, The Isis Project is a public art initiative founded in San Antonio, Texas, by marketing professional, Cassandra Yardeni and photographer, Kat Carey. The Isis Project takes it a step further and invites all girls, age infant through 18, to participate and pose as one female trailblazer. The photographs are accompanied by a 140-character description of the heroine and shared via social media as well as on city infrastructure and local schools and buildings.
