Not funny, not clever, could've been done so much better. I enjoyed this movie, it was cleverly constructed and actually had some substance. And I can't stand people who dismiss things
(and insult them) without having seen or experienced them first. Laaaaaaaame.

It's so easy for everyone here to point and say “are you crazy? how can you think it's alright for your husband to hit you?” Those questions come out of people who've been raised in societies where domestic violence is an evil thing (as it should be). But before you start blaming these poor women for their opinions (which simply reflect the values of their societies and the way they were raised) why not stop to think about how you would feel if every aspect of your social and home life reinforced the idea that you are an inferior creature and you must submit to the will of your betters (i.e. men). No wonder they don't see a problem with being hit.

While what he did may have been childish and unfair to the woman working behind the counter, pennies are money. They're made for a reason. She could have just let it go, accepted the pennies and taken them to a coinstar. But she chose to exacerbate the situation by flat out refusing the payment, even when a policeman ordered her to. That is absurd.

Brilliant.
