These are actually examples of dogs from a styling competition. The fur is dyed with food coloring (100% non-toxic and not harmful to the dogs) and the stylist has a certain amount of time to “style” the dogs into these looks.  It’s hardly abuse. These dogs are very much loved and their owners take meticulous care of their fur.
