Germany unveiled colorful uniforms for its Sochi Winter Olympics team at a runway show in Düsseldorf on Tuesday. Some are saying that the rainbow clad uniforms are a subtle political statement against Russia's anti-gay policies.
The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) disputes any political message, telling Spiegel.de "the uniforms are not a protest."
DOSB says that the designs were finalized before Russian anti-gay protests started. "This is just a fashionable jacket," says DOSB director Michael Vesper.
