Owl Rescued From Freezing Cold Lake In Finland, Produces Adorable Photo

A Finnish kayaker came to the rescue of an injured owl he found floating in a lake, then took a really great picture.

This owl was found by kayaker Pentti Taskinen floating in the middle of the lake about 500 meters from the shore and suffering from a state of near hypothermia, Finnish website Ilta Sanomat reports.

According to the Finnish press (and with some help from Google Translate) the owl may have gotten lost in the fog OR was the archenemy of some local crows who might have attacked him causing the owl to find itself stranded in frigid waters. Taskinen got the owl safely to shore, where it warmed up.

H/T to r/kayaking for this heroic picture!
