michaelm60 9 months agoTo everyone crying “You don’t know this was Chick-Fil-A that made these fake profiles.” True. But, who else would make a fake Facebook profile with a fake stock photo the same day as the online conversation was occurring and for the sole purpose of defending Chick-Fil-A? A real person who wanted to defend Chick-Fil-A would just use their real name… If it looks like a hateful, bigoted duck and quacks like a hateful, bigoted duck… it’s probably a hateful, bigoted duck.

kefkai 9 months agoSomeone who cares about what other people think about them wouldn’t put their real opinions up with a real profile, people have gotten fired for doing just that. Remember that Geico spokesman who left an Anti-Tea Party voicemail message and was promptly fired?

Davine S. 9 months agoAgreed. The URL says “chick-fil-a-gets-caught-pretending-to-be-a-teenage” — I’m guessing that was the original title of this post, probably with the word “girl” at the end? It has since been changed to “Someone Is Defending Chick-Fil-A With Fake Facebook Profiles” (emphasis mine). It’s hardly surprising that someone would care enough about their anti-gay-marriage stance to do this. What’s a little weird to me is that the “shutterstock” logo isn’t visible on the thumbnail. That means someone either paid for the rights to use it or went to the trouble of photoshopping it out… if it’s a case of payment, it seems like a lot of trouble for some ordinary person to go to, just for brand loyalty.
