    There’s definitely some truth to that, but if it was a 17 year old kid and adult women athletes then I think the story would adopt a more lighthearted tone - depending on the individual athlete’s response. And though there is a gender double standard at play here, typically men are the offenders of sexual assault, there’s a reason why the double standard exists - which is what makes this story funny rather than offensive.
