    All 20 of this year's major acting nominations for the 2016 Academy Awards were white people. Will Smith appeared on Good Morning America today and has become the latest in a growing list of actors who are dissatisfied with the Academy.

    Smith gave his thoughts on why diversity is important stating, "Diversity is the American superpower."

    Will also laid to rest the rumors that the only reason his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, called for others to boycott the Oscars was because he was snubbed for his role in Concussion.

    Smith also reiterated that the diversity issue surrounding the Oscars is about representation.

    He also will not be attending this year's Academy Awards.

    Smith said, "We've discussed it and we're a part of this community but at this current time we're uncomfortable to stand there and say that this is okay."
