mleeb 11 months agoIn 2008 Obama was unknown to much of the country, and he faced Democrat primary competition so he needed the contributions. Now that he is the incumbent, with the Presidency as his platform that gives him a worldwide audience he hardly needs the grassroots funding achieved in 2008. This is a completely misleading interpretation of the 2012 fund raising. Look back at previous incumbents seeking re-election and you will find similar donation “drops”.
