5 Things That Are Similar To The 2004 Major Motion Picture Mean Girls

These 5 things are a bit like the movie Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan.

1. The 2001 World Series

Ok, so the New York Yankees (the Plastics) have won three World Series in a row off of MVP performances from Scott Brosius (Karen), Mariano Rivera (Gretchen), and Queen Bee Derek Jeter (Regina). They're probably expecting to just walk to another World Series (Spring Fling Queen?) but then along comes this new girl the Arizona Diamondbacks (Cady, remember that picture of her dad with the snake?) and she's never even been there before (and let's be honest, probably won't be again) and she just rips the title away from Derek Jeter and the Yankees. They were supposed to win a fourth in a row, especially with everyone rallied around them in the wake of 9/11 (the Burn Book reveal). They were a team of destiny, and now Scott Brosius is predicting the weather with his tits.

After winning, the Diamondbacks broke off all the flags on the Commissoner's Trophy and sent them to all the other teams in baseball.

2. Mean Girls 2

Tim Meadows is in both of these movies.

3. South African Apartheid

This one sort of makes sense because Cady (Lindsay Lohan) lived in Africa for a bit which is where apartheid happened. Also the different cliques that aren't the Plastics are sort of like the different bantustans which would make the Plastics the National Party which governed from the 40s until apartheid officially ended in 1994. Also Cady is a bit like Nelson Mandela because he took responsibility for the burn book (was sentenced to life imprisonment) and then was elected Queen (President) of the Spring Fling (first multi-racial democratic elections). Also Regina George ends up playing field hockey, and there's that one movie about Rugby.

4. The Refraction of Light in Water

Cady travels at a finite constant speed of 186,000 miles per second until she enters the Plastics obliquely which reduces her rate of speed to 140,000 miles per second which gives her the illusion of having bent.

5. The 2008 American Presidential Election

Cady is Barack Obama because both of them grew up in Africa but still were elected to something they shouldn't have been.
