Kayla Martell, Miss Delaware, isn’t letting Alopecia stop her from competing for her lifelong dream of becoming Miss America. She’s going for it and why not? With a great self-image, this gal would make a great role model indeed!
That is freaking awesome. Go, Kayla! Hair loss in women is really misunderstood and horribly stigmatized. It’s really refreshing to see a young woman willing to be open about it, and doing such good work with kids, particularly encouraging those with alopecia and those going through cancer treatment.
She’s got great bone structure, and totally rocks the bald head. “Yeah, I have Alopecia. So what?”
She looks good in both shots. Second shot takes about 5 seconds to adapt to, but then it clicks in the brain and she looks fine.
well if she doesnt win now, she must be doing something really, really wrong.
