They are real. I have some old Life magazines from the 1960s that are full of them. There's an ad for some brand of Scotch that shows a woman who is pregnant, in a dress, high heels and an apron, pouring a drink to hand to her husband who is just coming home from work… so WRONG on SO many levels. There are several reasons why the show is called “Mad Men'!
