Got to learn how to do this sort of thing so it might as well be right now!. This is really kinda cute, especially since my great-granddaughter is, I think, a toddler at this point in time. Oh, never mind, I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.

What was *dwarf* doing so close to one of the nastiest, meanest little critters around, anyway? I’m from Wisconsin….the, Ummm, “Badger State”. But actually more famous for —Ta Dah! GO PACKERS. Wheeee
Well, I am 80 years old and am not at all surprised that crazy people like this “pastor” feel that reasonable human beings are very happy to believe in themselves and not have to depend on an invisible, never seen, never heard “god” is something to worship. It’s like believing in *nothing*. Worshipping *something* that does not exist seems like a really big waste of time. I don’t need a “god” to tell me what is right or wrong, or to care about my family, my country and my own personal moral conscience. In other words, “God” I really don’t need *you* for me to be a decent human being.
Why should the fact that I, for example, be [figuratively] spit on and maligned because I choose not to believe in any kind of invisible deity and do not worship an unseen, unknown, unaccountable “god” who supposedly deserves adulation and centuries old admiration — but which has done absolutely nothing for the human race since the beginning of time. Religion has never, ever, done one single act to improve the lives and pursuit of happiness of all living creatures on this tiny planet we call home…..NOTHING to foster any kind of *answers* for improving the lives of any and ALL creatures on this planet.
Religion and what people call “faith” does nothing, absolutely nothing. Prayer always fails. Who or what would answer them? So why should non-believers in fairy tales (atheists, agnostics, skeptics) be so despised? I am 80 years old, and wow! I’ve never even gotten a parking ticket in my entire life! I must be on an FBI “10 Most Wanted Criminals” list, eh?
I can also spell words correctly, parse my grammar fairly well and put words in the right order, and so on and so on. Which is more than I can say for most of the badly composed, wrongly spelled words and terrible grammar of most posters who responded to this thread…..Terrible!! Perhaps the illiterate faithful among you could pray for a better grasp of the written English language, it’s what we still use in this country, did you know that?
I have also maintained my own blogpage domain since 2002 and must say have enjoyed a bit of notoriety early on, at that point in time…….It was a huge surprise, apparently, to a lot of people that “senior” citizens could actually put words together and publish a blog that people would be interested in reading and actually enjoy.
So? What’s the big deal? —- Ricky Gervais says he is an Atheist? So am I. And darn proud of it, too. There are millions of freethinkers on this planet who agree with Clarence Darrow, e.g., when he said “I don’t believe in religion just like I don’t believe in Mother Goose.”
