In a post on Facebook, the 25-year-old surfer said Tobias was named after his great-grandfather and that his name means "the goodness of God."

"Adam and I so in love with our lil guy and are stoked to share life with him!" she wrote.

When Hamilton first announced her pregnancy in February, she talked about the difficulties she might face raising a child.

"Motherhood with one arm, I've been kind of thinking about it," she said. "I often forget that I have one arm, but when I think about it — a squirming baby, changing the diaper and just me and this squirmy baby — it could be really challenging."

However, Dirks, a Christian youth minister, said he would support his wife and change diapers on the beach while she is "surfing some gnarly waves."

Blessed to welcome our son, Tobias, into the world! #stokedmomma
