    Dali was a genius in our time ("our time" if you were born before 1989, that is) drawing and painting from 1916 at an art school until "The Head of Europa", which he gave as a gift to King Juan Carlos when the monarch visited him in his deathbed. By the time of his death, he had over 1500 paintings and drawings to his credit, films, photographs, and live exhibitions as well as installations innumerable.
