While my 8 year old does trick or treating in the evening, we buy small healthy snacks and toys to take to the hospital for the children’s ward. We go dressed up in costumes, and we know whatever small thing we offer them (crayons, playdough, fruitbars, dinky cars) will be appreciated there. Check with your hospital first to make sure it’s okay and to get the guidelines about what is okay to bring and what is not.
When my daughter was three she walked up to me and said “the mushrooms are coming”, inavery flat monotone voice. Then she just walked away. Weird, but after reading about these kids I’m not nearly as afraid asIwas before.
