Random buzzfeed writer commits another fact fail - Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood were not members of the Hollies, who recorded their song “The Air That I Breathe”
Twist and Shout is an Isley Brothers song the Beatles covered. Come A Little Bit Closer (Jay and the American’s version is the best known, I think) is another sibling (or maybe cousin) in this song family: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d2b4XuAa80

You must be joking, right? In the real world (not the comedy world) it was exactly the other way around - Lewis sued Parker, and won. It seems to be an act of amazing hubris - to me, the songs don’t sound hugely the same, but his “Do You Believe In Love” was a total ripoff of ELO’s “Sweet Talkin’ Woman” - check out this mashup if you don’t believe me - one fits right on top of the other: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9546660 (and they both sound better - as all songs do - with some Ooga Chakkas added).
You are quite wrong. The Chiffons didn’t see a penny from the My Sweet Lord royalties; they only recorded He’s So Fine, they didn’t write it. I don’t believe that the writer of the song or the founding owners of Bright Tunes saw a penny either. Harrison retained ownership of My Sweet Lord, and in fact ended up owning all of Bright Tunes, including He’s So Fine.
