The allure of waiting five hours in line for a decadent treat is far more exciting than waiting in a line for… uh… basic food to feed a starving family.

Well, these people all have $600 devices, so waiting in line for a cronut is probably the #worst thing they've ever been through. Other than that one time the mani/pedi shop closed early on a weekend. A WEEKEND!

What the fuck! This cronut line is out of control. Oh, wait. This isn't the line for cronuts? Who waits in line for hours for canned food? It's probably not even Le Sueur.

It's 6AM and these people must be starving. How dare that SOB bakery keep them waiting.

Apparently, these people in the Bronx never got the memo that, for only $5, they can get the world's newest food obsession.

Whew! The media finally showed up to explain the ridiculousness of standing in line for five hours while homeless people five feet away rummage through filthy trash cans. Bonus: Gov. Christie has some confidence.

Finally! A mashup of a food pantry and mobile trailer. One day, they'll figure out how to mashup a croissant and a donut, and everyone will be happy.

Just another day on the corner of Spring and Sullivan; people in line waiting patiently to quiet their groaning, hungry tummies.

Somebody please tell me why those kids aren't with their nannies! This is shocking, to say the least.

Fortunately this food line has a view of beautifully painted walls. The cronut line in historically beautiful SoHo is awful. These people should be thankful.

Hurricane Sandy carved a path of destruction, leaving thousands homeless and without food. Fortunately, this line has nothing to do with that, and these people can remain worry-free as they prepare their palates for candied rose petals and layers of warm flaky goodness.
