Hi guys,
I am loving life at the moment. I am divorced, but now happily in a new relationship.I have a beautiful little boy called Jayden who was born in March 2005. Being a dad is great and certainly keeps me on my toes. It has really changed my outlook on life altogether, I tend not to care too much for the superficial needs and wants in life. I am now living in Auburn after residing at Hoxton Park. Auburn certainly has changed somewhat over the last 20 years, and sadly for the worst. For those school friends that have not been back to Auburn for a while, do yourselves a favour. Don’t. The local watering hole for me is the good old Auburn Tennis Club. That place certainly has changed somewhat, and so it should, as I imagine they make a pretty tidy profit from my patronage. I have made quite a few friends there in the last couple of years. Somehow without looking, I wound up on the board of directors. Scary stuff. If you’re in the area drop by and say hi. I’ll shout you a beer. Please don’t all come at once though…...
Work wise, I have been bumming around the finance sector for the most part of my career. I initially started work at the Commonwealth Bank, and have spent the last 10 years in various roles in the Credit Union movement. Yeah, boring stuff, but I do enjoy it, and it puts food in my mouth (and it keeps the Child Support Agency happy you see..). I am now working for a recruitment and education company that also provides services to the finance sector. It’s a bit different from what I use to do, but it is genuinely fulfilling to help people find a job, and also to assist in educating financial practitioners.
Quite oddly, I have yet to find a practical use for some of my schooling at good old Beno’s, such as the application of advanced Trigonometry and Derivatives theories, or working with Bohrs Atom and Magnetism principles. But I remain ever confident that this day is drawing near….
Hobbies? Well having a little fella slows me down a bit on this front. I got into the car thing when I left school, and had a love affair with a Valiant Charger. The beast has since moved on long ago, but I will probably take that interest up again as I approach a mid life crisis.
I developed a passion for music, and playing guitar in particular. I bought quite a few guitars and a couple of good amps, and still have a bash on the odd occasion. I played with that for a while.
The family is all well. My Dad sadly past away in 2004 after a battle with cancer. That rocked the family considerably and really caught us off guard.
Anyway, would be great to catch up with old friends!
