The Struggles Of An American College Student Post-Studying Abroad In The U.K.

    Life's rough.

Everything reminds you of England. EVERYTHING.

Public transportation just isn't the same...

When you hear a British accent...

...but when it's a drunk person pretending to talk in a British accent....

You can't even turn on the news without hearing one...

When a song by a British artist comes on the radio, you get really excited. Then you realize you're no longer there and you become depressed...

    You don't mind the rain.

Whenever anything related to the U.K. comes up in conversation, you can't help but take control and talk about your experiences there...

    ...And your friends are like:

When you think about a weekend getaway and realize Paris, Dublin and Amsterdam are no longer options...

You miss the alcohol content in European beer...

Lets be real, Europeans just do beer better.

You realize it's not acceptable to be drunk all the time.

When there are no kebab joints around after bar close...

After visiting a Christmas market in America...

When your American friends trash soccer...

You buy everything with a British flag on it...

Now that you're back in the U.S., you actually have to study.

You obsessively creep through the pictures of your friends who are currently studying abroad. You weep.

When someone tells you they don't want to study abroad...

Despite the hardships, you know you'll return. In fact, you've already begun looking at one-way tickets back.
