trollprincess a year agoBecause — and I say this as someone who normally supports the man with a few exceptions — many of his critics don’t critique him for things he’s actually done or said wrong, but call him a socialist (which, I can assure you as a socialist, makes actual socialists laugh their ass off), accuse him of being Marxist/communist/whatever (because it’s the fifties all over again), sneer that he’s the most left-wing president ever (yeah, no), or ask where his damn birth certificate is (on mugs on his Tumblr account). There’s plenty of reasons to criticize the man if you’re of a different political viewpoint and far too few people doing it without approaching thinly veiled racism or tossing political terms his way which by their very definition he in no way embodies.
