Rewriting Wikipedia Entries In The Passive Voice Makes Them Way Better

  • If a guy wants to prank Wikipedia by rewriting things in the passive voice, he should learn what that means first.  Switching around the word order to object-verb-subject does not make a sentence passive. If I remember my linguistics from university, that is called “Yoda-fication.”

    Wrong, this is not “rewritten entirely” in the passive voice. Otherwise it would say things like, “An undisclosed rehab facility WAS LEFT by Kim…” or “Two children were had with Gregory Davis…” Passive voice requires use of a form of “be” or “get”, so rewritten entirely in passive would make this entirely more awkward…not to mention how pointless!
