As previously stated, this list is nonsense. Music is more easily accessible now than ever before and there is a greater volume released regularly. I've been a pop music fan all my life (like it or not, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin etc were and are pop music) I discover more new exciting bands now than I think ever before. I can also find rare classics that were impossible to track down at the time. Music downloads FTW.
