The other day, I was walking down a subway escalator, and suddenly I had this sickening feeling of the ground pushing me away. I didn’t understand what was happening so I tried to walk down the escalator faster, and I kept getting this weird pushing-away sensation, and I nearly fell down it before I realized that I was trying to walk down into the subway via an up-escalator. The sensation made me feel as though I was being rejected by the Earth, and frankly, the feeling is mutual.
