As I freely admit to having a poorly developed sense of humor, I thought I'd throw in my two cents. I don't care what belligerent vegetarian you've run into in the past. Why would you mock someone for caring about animals? Don't discourage people from being kind, even if you have a different lifestyle. So yeah, I do get a little sad when I see stuff like this. It was VERY hard for me to become a vegetarian and I'm still not used to my friends making meat jokes all the time. At first, I had a hard time going to social events because the same friends would forget I couldn't eat certain things. Or they didn't care. Others would tell me I'm a hypocrite because I live with a snapping turtle that needs to eat meat to survive. Why is it funny that I choose not to eat meat? I just don't want to take the life of an innocent creature if I can help it.
