    This is a dumb-ass article. Nail art has been popular among many groups of people for a long time, just not in mainstream culture. The two are not synonymous. I’ve been doing some awesome nail designs to my nails for at least 3 years now, and actually people from China and Japan have been a great influence - their nails are amazing. It’s not about race though, and it’s not new. It’s just that people are taking notice now when they weren’t before.
